This was my first time in Carolina Beach, and I can tell you what it looked like to me - a place way overbuilt, like someone just wanted to cram in as many buildings as possible and make a killing on all this development. Do the officials in CB want a resort destination that vacationers will want to come to? If you do, pull up your socks and start working. A town has to have more than a lot of houses with a small amount of businesses to back it up. You guys make way more money than I do - you know what to do. CB could be an awesome destination, you just have to make it happen. Godspeed.

We checked many websites of everything in Carolina Beach before going there. None of the websites said places were closed. When we arrived, almost everything was closed and we had nothing to do. There were no activities to do and only a few places to eat for 2 days and 2 nights.

The room was recently renovated, very clean, up to date, large. Our stay was blissful! Opened the sliding door to the sound of the ocean waves. It was delightful. Off season the choice of restaurants was limited, but there was still plenty to choose from. We had a small fridge and microwave in our room and so we had breakfast in our room. There are plenty of grocery stores to purchase from. Best vaca for us! Peaceful and relaxing just what we wanted.
